Ducati Hyperstrada - Love at first ride

Rightly named Hyperstrada ! It's real hyper in character. This is my short and subtle review along with the riding experience and impression of a rare Ducati. Hmm, It looks weird, but appealing, it looks subtle in some part, but right amount of aggression altogether. It has top spec parts, but no silly graphics. Now comes the single sided swing arm, functionally designed bits and parts. I will simply keep on bragging about it, so let's make it short and precise. It gets all the eyes on road both wrong & right ones ! But hey, RED DUCATI ! Switching the engine on sounds similar to any other V-twin, ehmm L-twin. But hey, if u want a clearer description, i will say it's more like a roar than a purr ! Nothing special like an in-line 4 for some, but this is more of a wild aggression. Now the engine is near to a litre at 939cc to be precise. 110 BHP and 98NM of torque, hmm sounds average only until u realise that it's all peaking at 9000 rpm and 7500 rpm respectively

BHP Vs Torque

The Very Classic question indeed. What is BHP and what is torque in layman terms ? what is the simple relation between them ? For this, I will include few technical things also in this review to understand it better. What is torque ? Torque = Force X perpendicular distance. In layman terms, It is the actual twisting force produced at the crank of an engine due to the power stroke, the potential energy and kinetic energy stored on a flywheel. Consider a 4 stroke single cylinder engine in which the power is actually produced in one stroke, ie the power stroke. In order for the engine to run or the remaining 3 strokes to complete, we should store the excess energy produced by that one power stroke. For that, we have the flywheel. EX: If you have a 1-foot-long wrench and you exert a force of 10 pounds on the end of it then you apply a torque of 10 pound-feet (10 lb-ft). If the wrench were 2 feet long, the same force would apply a torque of 20 lb-ft. When an engine is said to make “20
